Permit is only valid if permission is granted for the day.
*Permission to burn must be granted daily
*Call the Department at 252-3725 between 9 AM and 12 noon on the day you wish to burn
Certain conditions such as wind, overcast skies, lack of rain and poor air quality may cancel burning on certain days or periods. Again, you must call for permission each day you want to burn.
A permit does not release you from any liability for damages.
The person burning must have sufficient help to control the fire and not leave it unattended until entirely extinguished.
The permit must be shown to anyone who requests to see it.
Burning must be at least 75 feet from all dwellings.
